Keilehaven first phase completed

In December 2021, the first phase of the construction of the river tidal park in the Keilehaven will be completed. Not much can be seen of it yet: the harbor has been 'shallowed'. The ground must now rest for six months, after which the real construction can begin. The second phase is planned for October 2022.

The Keilehaven is being transformed step by step into a tidal park. The functional space will now be a green, future-proof, climate-adaptive, public city park with plenty of room for biodiversity. We apply the lessons we learn in Keilehaven to other tidal parks and riverbanks within and outside the M4H. For example, we are experimenting with collecting floating waste, new forms of recreation and innovative/circular use of materials, water purification and making tidal environments perceptible.
