LIFE platform meeting: Fostering awareness and engagement in climate action
On 27 and 28 October 2021, LIFE held a special online platform meeting to encourage the implementation of the European Climate Pact.
Through the European Green Deal, the EU aims to be climate neutral by 2050. Public engagement is crucial to achieving this ambitious goal and in December 2020 the EU launched the European Climate Pact to make this a reality.
Most LIFE climate action projects have much in common with the objectives of the European Climate Pact. It therefore made sense for LIFE projects, NGOs and other stakeholders from across Europe to come together to discuss how best to support the European Climate Pact.
LIFE Urban Adapt was invited for a panel discussion on 'Engaging with citizens and stakeholders and facilitating participation and co-creation'.
