Knowledge exchange LIFE CLIMCOOP

On April 25, we received a visit from the LIFE CLIMCOOP project from Hungary. They visited the LIFE Urban Adapt and LIFE@Urban Roofs projects in Rotterdam for knowledge exchange and to learn from each other.

The overall goal of the LIFE-CLIMCOOP project is to develop, test and demonstrate collective actions between a city government and a multinational company to reduce local climate risks and improve joint adaptation to climate change for vulnerable urban and industrial areas in the selected region, in Hungary and Central Eastern Europe.

From the roofs of Gebouw De Heuvel via ZoHo to the Keilehaven and Nassauhaven, with an unexpected tour around the Island of Brienenoord, it was a wonderful tour with a very enthusiastic and fun company.

On June 16, they organized an exclusive webinar in Hungary for their closest Hungarian municipal partners to talk about the experiences and innovations they have seen with us. The audience consisted of climate representatives from the Hungarian cities of Székesfehérvár, Nyíregyháza, Tatabánya, Veszprém, Miskolc, Pécs – all provincial capitals – and a few NGOs.
The public was really interested in many of our project elements, and they hope that some of them will actually do something concrete.

A nice exchange!
